On Friday night, December 2, a man was killed in a two vehicle crash in Memphis.
According to Police, the accident happened near the intersection of South Third and Raines Road. Brandon K. Alexander, aged 27 was driving a 2000 Buick LeSabre sedan and it was hit on the driver’s side by an 87 year old man driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer Sport utility vehicle.
Following the collision, the sport utility vehicle flipped and rolled several times, coming to rest on its roof with the driver trapped inside.
Alexander was killed in the crash and the elderly man was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Unfortunately there were no witnesses to the crash, but it appears one of the vehicles ran a red light although it is not known which one.
The accident is still under investigation and so far no charges have been filed.
